Meet the Lead Grant Writer at Sunu Reew Medical Mission: Dr. Marsha Staples

Dr. Marsha Staples, a native of St. Louis, Mo., is the founder and Chief Operating Manager for True Good Companies, LLC, a company established in 1999 by her and her late husband, Charles. She holds Bachelors’ degrees in Music and History-Political Science from Webster University in Webster Groves, Mo., and a Master’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Theater: Acting and Directing from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Her Worship Studies doctoral degree is from the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, FL.





Her marketplace experience includes, but is not limited to, serving as the Director of Education and Community Education for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra in Norfolk, VA from 2007-2015. Her tenure with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra afforded her opportunities for grants development and application for the many educational and community engagement events sponsored by the Symphony.


She has served as the Executive Director of several non-profit organizations on the East Coast and in The Midwest. As an educator she has taught at the elementary, secondary and college levels. These experience, both in and out of the classroom and arts environments, has inspired her to utilize her funding development talents to assist organizations whose focus is the betterment of communities that reflect the diversity of our society.
